On August 6, the naming and delivery ceremony of Höegh Aurora, the first ship of dual-fuel and zero-carbon ready Aurora Class car carrier built by Norwegian ro-ro operator Höegh Autolines and China Merchants Industry, was held at China Merchants Industry's Haimen base, to which HBM was invited.

Designed by Deltamarin, Höegh Aurora, with a capacity of 9,100 cars, enhanced decks and an internal ramp system for loading cars on 14 decks, is the first large-scale car carrier capable of using carbon-neutral ammonia fuel, and is also the world's largest and most environmentally friendly car carrier to date. Huanan Building Materials, in cooperation with China Merchants Industry, has undertaken the supply of interior outfitting materials and finishing construction projects for 12 Aurora series vessels, including Höegh Aurora, covering the living area, pilothouse and cargo and engine room areas, and the construction services include wall panels, ceilings, insulating accessories, fire doors, access doors, and so on.
